Healthy Eating

Healthy eating is defined by member agencies as access to adequate and consumption of healthy food and drink options where people live, work and play

Objective:

Create supportive environments for healthy eating

Strategies:

  • Support settings to implement accredited programs to support healthy eating
  • Investigate the accredited programs that relate to healthy eating
  • Implement Smiles 4 Miles
  • Supporting implementation of Healthy Sporting Environments
  • Work with settings to support and enable healthy eating behaviours
  • Utilise and share messages that deliver consistent healthy eating messages
  • Continue to support breastfeeding initiatives

The ‘Food for All’ Logo has been developed as part of an overall healthy eating social marketing initiative for the Hume region. Organisations can ask for permission to use this logo to brand their healthy eating activities that align with socioeconomic determinants of healthy eating. More information is provided in the position statement.

If you would like to use the ‘Food For All’ logo and feel that your use of the logo fits with the values of ‘Food For All’ campaign, then you can make a request to your local IHP worker (see end of Position Statement) for approval. Once the use of the logo is approved by the appropriate IHP working group, the user will be provided with a PDF and JPEG version of the logo. More details are provided in the ‘Expression of Interest Form’.
