Reducing Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drug Abuse (RATODA) is a state wide health promotion priority that the GVPCP membership decided to focus on in the 2006 – 2009 GVPCP Community Health Plan.
The TAD working group combines the Goulburn Valley Primary Care Partnerships RATODA Working Group and Greater Shepparton City Council’s Health Goal 4: Minimisation of Drug & Alcohol Misuse Taskgroup.
TAD Focus for 2008:
After consultation and review there is growing agreement on supporting the development of an ADAC (Alcohol Drug Advisory Committee) to mirror what is currently happening in Shepparton, in both Moira and Strathbogie. Key people in both shires have been addressed and there is a movement of support to further investigate the potential of this concept.
If you or your organisation is interested in being involved in the TAD Working Group then please contact Nicole Gray, Health Promotion Worker on 58 233 283 or hpgvpcp@gvchs.com.au
