Healthy Catering Choices Policy and Staff Training

The healthy catering choices policy was developed in line with the Goulburn Valley Primary Care Partnerships Healthy Catering Choices Toolkit.

The policy ensures that Goulburn Valley Community Health Service (GVCHS) offers healthy catering to the community, that a healthy choice is offered for staff catering and that special food requirements and cultural needs are taken into account.

Following the implementation of the policy, GVCHS staff was provided with training on the policy, work instructions, label reading, healthy eating, gluten free catering and resources available to assist them.

The policy can be adapted to any workplaces that hold events, training, meetings and functions where food and beverages are served during work hours to staff, visitors, and guests.
