Gambler's Help

The Gambler’s Help team provide integrated and coordinated services across the Greater Shepparton, Moira and Strathbogie regions.  Gambler’s Help services are accessible and responsive to the needs of the community, aiming to reduce and minimise the harm caused by problem gambling. The Gambler’s Help team works to raise community awareness of the importance of responsible gambling practices and improve community resilience to the development of problem gambling.

The following services are provided by Gambler’s Help:


Gambler’s Help Counselling
Counselling for people whose gambling is becoming an issue or those affected by someone else’s gambling

Referrals to Voluntary Self Exclusion program
Assistance for those who wish to self–exclude from gaming venues in the local area

Building Blocks of Life
A six week group program to promote personal and social development through the provision of education and development of life skills

Community Education
Sessions aimed to raise awareness of problem gambling issues, responsible gambling practices and the services available to the community

Provider Education
Education, training and other professional development activities provided to health and welfare workers likely to encounter individuals and families experiencing gambling related impacts
