New Website for Hume Region Early Psychosis Services

Check out Hume Region Early Psychosis Services’ new website at www.humereps.org.au.

Aimed at preventing delays in accessing effective treatment, the website promotes awareness of early psychosis and the message of getting help early. Using the format of social networking sites, the design is targeted at the age group (16-25yrs) when psychosis usually first occurs.

The website also has a ‘Professionals’ section for workers that includes relevant information and resources such as a screening tool and referral form.

To promote the Website a poster has been developed (see below to down load a copy) that we hope can be displayed in as many places frequented by young people. Experiencing psychosis for the first time is usually very confusing; the poster and website are trying to highlight the help available and the benefits of accessing it.

GVPCP Community Profile 2009

The GVPCP Community Profile has recently been developed to enable member agencies to have access to local population health data to assist with planning, writing reports and funding submissions. The community profile includes data on demographics (education, unemployment, population, culture, language, safety, crime, transport etc), health status (burden of disease, life expectancy, risk factors, preventative activities etc) and community wellbeing (gambling, indicators of community strength).
